SUMMER TRAINING FOR ALL NEW CISD COACHES
who do NOT have their Class B CDL:
STEP 1: Provide the Transportation Office with the following information. You

STEP 2: To obtain a Class B permit, go to:

and pick up the Commercial Motor Vehicle Driver Handbook and study the
following:
Chapters 1 to 5
Chapters 10 to 14 STEP 3: Come to the Conroe Transportation Office to complete the six written
tests:
1. Permit
2. Passenger
3. Pre-Trip |
4. Air Brake
5. General Knowledge
6. School Bus |
*REMINDER*:
Testing MUST be completed at Conroe DPS office.
Be sure you use the online tutorials at conroe.safepupil.com to study. |
STEP 4: Go to conroe.safepupil.com and complete these training modules by
viewing the video and passing the corresponding test:
- School Bus – Distracted Driver – Cell Phone
- School Bus – Driving in Wind, Backing and Tail Swing
- School Bus – Emergency Evacuation – Driver Training
- School Bus – Idling Crossing
- School Bus – Instruments and Brakes
- School Bus – Loading and Unloading
- School Bus – Mirror Adjustment
- School Bus – Pre-Trip Inspection
- School Bus – Post-Trip Inspection
- School Bus – Railroad Crossing
- School Bus – Time and Space Management

Street, Conroe, TX 77301) and do the following:
1.) Provide a copy of your Class B permit
2.) Pickup an authorization form for your DOT drug screen
3.) Schedule your behind-the-wheel training (up to 20 hours) |
*REMINDER*:
* Steps 1, 2, 3, and 5 must be completed before your
behind-the-wheel training will be scheduled.
* Step 4 must be completed prior to your road test at DPS.
* All training must be completed by August 13th, 2010. |

STEP 1: If you are new to the district and already have a Class B CDL, please
provide the training office with a copy of the following:
